Talent Search

I am always excited about the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search and the opportunity it gives talent in Nebraska. And I always look forward to seeing many of you again and welcoming to the Galaxy of Stars program some of you for the first time. It is fun! ~ Wynne

Talent from across Nebraska competed at the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island on the Bristol Windows Stage in the Semi-Finals, Saturday September 5th, and the Finals, Sunday September 6th.

Twenty-eight of the highest scoring acts (vocal, dance, instrumental and variety) in the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search Video Contest and from the Participating Partner Talent Searches in Nebraska advanced to compete for over $9,000.00 in prizes, cash, recording sessions & trophies. Seventeen of the highest scoring acts, five from each Age Division (Comets, 12 & Under; Shooting Stars, 13 to 18; and Novas, 19 & Over) and two acts from across all Age Divisions with the next highest scores competed in the Finals. The Awards Ceremony was held following the Finals.

A large audience of family, friends and supporters enjoyed the performances of contestants who came to compete at the Nebraska State Fair from Alliance, Champion, Chadron, Doniphan, Battle Creek, Kearney, Monroe, Martell, McCook, Hallam, Crete, Grand Island, Minden, Geneva, Omaha, Hastings, Howells, Norfolk, Clarkson, York, Lincoln, Paxton, David City and Columbus.

The Top Three Songwriters in the Galaxy of Stars Songwriting Contest showcased their original songs during the Finals. The announcement of songwriters winning prizes, cash, recording sessions and trophies in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and songwriters with songs ranking 4th through 10th place was made during the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search Awards Ceremony. All songwriters in the Top Ten received Galaxy of Stars medals.
